Now, those brave souls who dwell in the eastern shadow of the continent-shaping Rocky Mountains will gather together in tribute to this musical pioneer. Old and young, known and yet-to-be-discovered, they will celebrate as only those who were born and bred to conquer the prairies can... Ah, hell. It's Calgary bands covering Stompin' Tom songs. Get it? BYOP: Bring Your Own Plywood is now available in finer record stores in Calgary, and will soon be available across the country. BYOP is a co-production of SBR and the Catch and Release Recording Collective, one of Calgary's many fine independent record companies. Our first release party was held on December 6, 2003 at the Night Gallery Cabaret – turnout was excellent, and everyone was very enthused.
