Alberta Crude (Tim's sophomore release)
Even though he's just a young man, Tim Hus writes the kind of songs that can only come from experience. He's travelled a lot of sunny and stormy miles, stepped in a lot of cowpies, heard a lot of stories, laughed at a lot of jokes, seen a lot of pretty girls, and made a lot of friends along the way. He's been everything from a framer to a sawhand, a beer truck driver to a pine cone picker, a salmon farmer to a treeplanter, and a cabinet maker to a well driller. And he sings about all of it.
Following on the heels of his well-received debut album Songs of West Canada (also available from Saved By Radio) comes Alberta Crude, an 11-song collection of down-to-earth, truly Canadian music. Backed by the talented players of his Rocky Mountain Band, Hus translates his dynamic live show into an engaging narrative of bullriders and firefighters, roughnecks and rig drivers, places you leave and places you return to at the end of the day.
"Canada needs more singers like Tim Hus."
The Rocky Mountain Band features Rick Preston on acoustic and electric lead guitar, Brad Lindberg on banjo, Ben Beveridge (David Wilkie & Cowboy Celtic) on fiddle, Spider Bishop (Dave McCann and the Ten-Toed Frogs) on bass, and Ross Watson (National Dust, The Co-Dependents) on drums.
